signaloid-cli users delete
Delete a user account.
Synopsis
signaloid-cli users delete --user-id <id>
Options
| Option | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
--user-id <id> | Yes | User ID to delete |
Description
Initiates deletion of the named user account. The account is disabled immediately, every active session is invalidated, and the account's data is scheduled for cleanup.
This is irreversible and the CLI does not prompt for confirmation. Deleting your own account signs you out everywhere and takes your builds, tasks, cores and stored files with it.
Deleting an account other than your own requires administrator privileges. To
remove somebody from an organization without deleting their account, use
organizations users remove
instead.
Examples
Delete your own account:
USER_ID=$(signaloid-cli users me | jq -r '.UserID')
signaloid-cli users delete --user-id "$USER_ID"
Delete with an explicit confirmation step:
#!/bin/bash
USER_ID="$1"
read -r -p "Permanently delete $USER_ID? Type the user ID to confirm: " CONFIRM
if [ "$CONFIRM" != "$USER_ID" ]; then
echo "Aborted."
exit 1
fi
signaloid-cli users delete --user-id "$USER_ID"
Exit Codes
| Code | Description |
|---|---|
0 | Success |
1 | Failed to delete the user |
3 | Not authenticated, or insufficient privileges |
4 | User not found |
